Introduction

The Economy Bank N.V. is a fully licensed bank and is subject to supervision of De Nederlandsche Bank N.V. (The Dutch Central Bank) as well as the AFM (The Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets).

Since The Economy Bank N.V. (TEB NV) was established in the Netherlands on November 17, 1998, it has been making ongoing progress in achieving its mission: to become one of the most effective and service-oriented financial institutions specialized in both Turkish and European financial markets and trade finance products. TEB NV is fully owned by TEB A.S. Istanbul, Turkey. Our parent company became in 2005 a joint venture of BNP Paribas, one of the largest financial groups in the world, and this development has contributed considerably to the overall activities. Thanks to BNP Paribas Group’s outstanding network, TEB NV has extended its geographic reach to 85 countries worldwide, with an initial focus on North Africa and Eastern Europe-Asia.

Thanks to deployment of conservative risk-management procedures, TEB NV has had no Non-Performing Loans since its establishment. Over the years TEB NV has been able to grow its trade-related transactions volume.

TEB NV is determined to maintain this growth trend by diversifying its trade and commodity finance portfolios with the help of BNP Paribas Group’s sophisticated country and credit risk analyzing systems and reports.
